We are located upstairs on the first floor of the Visitors Centre. The Long Dock Café boasts stunning panoramic views of the south aspect of the Cliffs towards Hags Head and the broad expanse of Liscannor Bay.
The Long Dock food philosophy is
“One that reflects the people, places and seafaring traditions of its people. Our passion for great wholesome food is evident throughout our dishes and our respect for authentic and local ingredients is paramount. We source our ingredients from the land and its surrounding coastline supporting our local farmers and fishermen. By using a gentle cooking process we compliment and enhance the taste and flavours of the fresh produce to create a delicious homemade dish for our guests to Enjoy.”
We are open daily throughout the year which makes us the ideal venue for your lunch stop during your trip.
Alternatively why not treat yourself to a Taste of West Clare and join us for Breakfast or Dinner during the Summer months.
During the summer months, for those early risers, we offer a Breakfast Menu daily from early-11.30am, including:
- Irish Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs
- O’Brien’s Tower of Buttermilk Pancakes & Maple Syrup
- Smoked Haddock with Poached Eggs
- And of course the old favourite Full Irish Breakfast
Our daily menu offers a variety of dishes that are sure to suit all palates, available daily from 11.30am. We offer some delightful and tasty dishes cooked with fresh ingredients from the land and the sea, which includes Crab Claws, St. Tolas Goat Cheese Salad, College Bay Oysters, Loin of West Clare Lamb, Pan Fried Red Snapper, Fresh Trout and of course we have some traditional Irish dishes like our Irish Stew, Just like Mammy Used to Make It-Bacon and Cabbage and Cottage Pie to name just a few. The Specials Board is constantly changing to offer you more mouth-watering dishes, including our Catch of the Day, simply grilled with a squeeze of lemon!!
To end we always have that something sweet to enjoy with your tea & coffee as you watch the sun's rays dance on the Cliffs, a perfect way to end your day!

Sunset Dinner Experience.
A take away service is provided at the Grab ‘n Go counter, picnic lunches and special children's packs are available. Freshly baked pastries and scones are a favorite for the morning visitor, and for a light Lunch we have our Famous Seafood Chowder, Homemade Soup of the Day and a bountiful selection of freshly cut sandwiches.
