Employment Opportunities: 3 Positions at the Café

We are recruiting for the following positions:

SEASONAL TEAM LEADER – CAFÉ

  • Supervise all areas including staff management of the Cliffs View Café on the day to day basis.
  • Requirements: Experience supervising a busy restaurant or food service environment, Experience of cash handling & reconciliation, good understanding of food handling and excellent customer services.
  • The post will be operational on a seven day a week basis according to the monthly roster published in advance with extended hours at certain times according to seasonal and business requirements. Hours of operation will very seasonally.

SEASONAL GENERAL CAFÉ WORKERS

  • Sell, serve and maintain food throughout the day. Tidy and clean the Cliffs View Café. Ensure all HACCP regulations are complied with.
  • Requirements: Experience of working in a busy restaurant environment. Excellent customer services & experience of working in a direct customer services environment. A good understanding of food hygiene, food preparation and HACCP regulations. Cashier experience required with excellent attention to detail. This role will also involve porter duties.
  • The post will be operational on a seven day a week basis according to the monthly roster published in advance with extended hours at certain times according to seasonal and business requirements. Hours of operation will very seasonally.

HEAD COOK – PERMANENT – FULL TIME POSITION

  • Supervise Cliffs View Café Kitchen including food ordering, preparing and serving of meals & snacks and supervision of the kitchen team.
  • Requirements: QQI Level 6 in the designing of food safety management systems. Good understanding of HACCP regulations. Experience cooking and food preparation in a busy restaurant environment. Experience with stock control and ordering.
  • The post will operate on a seven day a week basis according to the monthly roster. The café closes in high season by 9pm and earlier in low season. This role involves primarily a 6 – 9 hour shift with start times between 8am and 12noon. There are no split shifts and the head cook will work a maximum 42 hours per week.
