Getting here by Coach
Sit back and relax on your coach trip to the Cliffs of Moher either as part of a tour of Ireland or on a day visit.
If a luxury coach tour of Ireland takes your interest there are many operators nationwide, for more details checkout www.itoa.ie. Coach tours normally incorporate the main visitor attractions from east to west and north to south of Ireland. A coach tour is an easy and relaxing way of travelling around the country and offers a comfortable travelling experience. Group coach tours are very popular at the Cliffs of Moher.
In peak season April – September groups are recommended to come outside the peak periods 11.00am-4.00pm for maximum comfort and enjoyment. A morning visit is particularly nice when the you may be the only visitor on the cliff edge or in the evening when the seabirds are singing and the sun is going down. The Visitor Centre is open from 09.00am to 09.00pm in July and for the first half of August. All tours to the Cliffs of Moher should be prebooked firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +353 65 7086141.
You can take a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher from Ennis, Limerick Galway or Dublin all year round. A day tour usually takes a full day leaving Dublin from as early as 7.00am and returning as late as 7.00pm. It is important to understand it is a long day travelling and you will be on a bus for a minimum of 7 hours in the day and 1.5 hours- 2 hours at the Cliffs of Moher. The fast changing weather conditions at the Cliffs of Moher means that the Cliffs are not always visible due to dense fog or accessible due to high winds and you may be disappointed after travelling a long distance.
We recommend you spend some time in Co. Clare and stay overnight in the local towns, villages, enjoy the countryside and visit the attractions. There are some 1 and 2 night options from Dublin with www.quicktours.ie. There are day tours from other locations around the country, check individual websites for details.
