2024 Charity Community Fun Day!

Last year, the Charity Community Fun Day was a huge success. Each of our chosen charities raised much needed funds for their operations and there was a great atmosphere at The Cliffs of Moher Experience.

Cliffs of Moher Experience Charity Fun Day

Join us for a charitable and fun-filled day at the Cliffs of Moher Experience on Saturday, 27th May 2023, Clare residents are invited to pre-book complimentary admission for the day by using the promo code ‘charityday23‘ on the Cliffs of Moher booking system. We aim to raise much needed funds for three exceptional organisations based in County Clare!

We have an incredible line-up of family-friendly activities that are sure to delight and entertain everyone! Our event will kick off at 11:30am and run until 3:00pm.

From lively set dance performances to toe-tipping traditional music, we have something for everyone to enjoy.

Our skilled story tellers will captivate you with the myths and legends of the Cliffs of Moher that will leave you spellbound, and our talented face painters will transform you into something special.We will also offer guided tours to help you explore and discover the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher Experience, and for the kids (and kids at heart), we have an exciting fire engine display and much more! Get ready for a day filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories all in the name of raising fund for our local chosen charities

Cliffs of Moher Charities 2023

Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is the leading provider of services for people with intellectual disabilities and their families across County Clare. Offering a comprehensive range of day, residential, respite, and training services, the organisation is dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives within their communities. As the largest provider of such services in Ireland, Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to those who need it most.

Sláinte an Chláir‘s Kilnamona based cancer support center is a voluntary organisation dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families impacted by cancer. They offer a wide range of free services, including counseling, therapy, support groups, and educational resources, designed to help their clients navigate the physical, emotional and practical challenges of living with cancer.

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is the national leader in providing essential support to individuals who are vision impaired and have families with children who have autism. Their mission is to empower their clients to achieve great independence and mobility through innovative programs and services. In Clare, their team is currently working with two dedicated puppy raisers, two brood holders, one family with an Assistance Dog, and two Guide Dog owners, providing them with the necessary training, resources, and support they need to thrive.

Charity Fun Day Schedule!

Here’s a breakdown of our exciting schedule of events:

11.30am – 12.30pm: Launch with Set Dancing on the Concourse, featuring lively classes and an opportunity to walk an Irish Wolfhound.

11.30am – 3.00pm: Witness the mesmerizing ancient textile art of spinning yarn with the talented and knowledgeable ladies of Midwest Spinners and Weavers.

11.30am – 3.00pm: Face painting! Children can step into a world of magic and wonder by transforming into enchanting characters or fantastical creatures.

11.30am – 3.00pm: Meet the remarkable guide dogs and the majestic Irish Wolfhounds, while learning about the incredible work the charities do.

11.30am – 3.00pm: Immerse yourself in automotive nostalgia with the captivating display of vintage vehicles.

12.00pm – 1.00pm: Explore the fascinating history of the Cliffs of Moher, and enjoy engaging storytelling throughout the visitor experience.

12.45 – 1.45pm: More Set Dancing with the exceptionally talented Eugene Donnelan and his talented companions.

1.30pm – 1.45pm: Immerse yourself in the geological wonders of Cliffs of Moher as a local geologist Colin Bunce passionately shares his knowledge of the stunning rock formations, guiding eager visitors on an insightful journey through the area’s geological history.

2.00pm – 2.15pm: Rock Formation Explanation with Colin Bunce.

2.30pm – 2.45pm: Rock Formation Explanation with Colin Bunce.

1.00pm – 2.00pm: Get into the spirit with a lively Trad session outside the Visitor Centre.

2.00pm: Delight in the harmonious collaboration of Clouna National School and Music Generation Clare as they present a memorizing performance of an original composition.

1.00pm – 3.00pm: Experience the artistic charm of Tina O’Connell from Burren Arts as she creates captivating watercolour portraits of visitors.

2.00pm – 3.00pm: Discover even more about the rich history of our site and enjoy more captivating storytelling.

2.30pm – 3.00pm: Join us at the main entrance for a final session featuring all our talented buskers and musicians, and find out who will be the lucky winners of our exciting raffle!
