Cliffs of Moher Experience Charity Fun Day

Join us for a charitable and fun-filled day at the Cliffs of Moher Experience on Saturday, 25th May 2024, Clare residents are invited to pre-book complimentary admission for the day by using the promo code ‘charityday24‘ on the Cliffs of Moher booking system. We aim to raise much needed funds for three exceptional organisations based in County Clare!

We have an incredible line-up of family-friendly activities that are sure to delight and entertain everyone! Our event will kick off at 11:00am and run until 3:00pm.

From lively set dance performances to toe-tipping traditional music, we have something for everyone to enjoy.

Our skilled story tellers will captivate you with the myths and legends of the Cliffs of Moher that will leave you spellbound, and our talented face painters will transform you into something special.We will also offer guided tours to help you explore and discover the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher Experience, and for the kids (and kids at heart), we have an exciting fire engine display and much more! Get ready for a day filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories all in the name of raising fund for our local chosen charities

Charity Fun Day Schedule!

Here’s a breakdown of our exciting schedule of events:

11.25am – Brendan Keane will MC on the day and opening the day to all, will introduce each act.

11.30am – 12.00pm: Tara Howley, a prolific multi-award-winning artist from Kilfenora, Co. Clare, excels as an instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer. With a background in classical and traditional music, Tara’s illustrious career is adorned with prestigious awards.

11.35am – 11.40am: Aidan Vaughan Sean Nós dancing, will dance while Tara plays. Aidan Vaughan was born and reared in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare during the 1940’s and has been dancing and playing the drums since he was 9 years of age.

12.00pm – 12.15pm: Balor Otherworld Storyteller at the cliffs, mythology, banshees, Pucas. Balor has lived in Ireland his whole life, growing up immersed in the storytelling tradition of past generations.

12.10pm – 12.40pm: Ennistymon Choral Society, local Choral Society that regularly perform in the local theatre.

12.40pm – 12.50pm: Music Generation Clare performance. 7 harpers and their tutor. Music Generation Clare is part of Music Generation, Ireland’s National Music Education Programme which transforms the lives of children and young people through access to high-quality, subsidised performance music education.

12.50pm – 1.00pm: Taster yoga with Limestone Yoga – Limestone Yoga Studio is located in Corofin, a scenic tourism area. Operated by Colette Nagle, together with her husband, Oliver. The combination of the Cliffs of Mohers natural beauty and yoga practice at the Cliffs can be incredibly grounding and refreshing.

1.05pm – 1.20pm: Ronan Corbett and Cathal O’Leary part of the Grupa Ceoil (U12) placed second in the All Ireland Fleadh 2023.

1.15pm – 1.20pm: Aidan Vaughan Sean Nós dancing, while the boys play music.

1.20pm – 1.35pm: Balor Otherworld Storytelling will invite visitors into the visitor centre and up to the Cliffs for more stories, mythology, banshees, Pucas.

1.35pm – 2.05pm: Áine O’Brien and Niall Fitzgibbon from Kilfenora. Áine is a conceptual artist, songwriter and performer who is based in Kilfenora, Co. Clare. Áine’s childhood was steeped in the tradition of storytelling and she continues this art through her different creative mediums. Niall, Áine’s partner, plays and records nationwide and abroad with music groups and various projects.

2.05pm – 2.12pm: Patrick O’Dwyer singer/musician.

2.15pm – 2.30pm: Set dancing on the concourse by Kate Lavin.

2.30pm – 2.40pm: Raffle, Brendan Keane MC will call out the winners.

2.40pm – 2.45pm: Tim Dennehy Singer. Tim regularly performs at festivals and teaches at song workshops.

2.45pm – 3pm: Final Session: Kate Lavin, Ronan and Cathal. (All other musicians welcome)

11.30am – 3.00pm: Face painting! Children can step into a world of magic and wonder by transforming into enchanting characters or fantastical creatures.

11.30am – 3.00pm: Meet the remarkable guide dogs, while learning about the incredible work the charities do.

11.30am – 3.00pm: Immerse yourself in automotive nostalgia with the captivating display of vintage vehicles.

Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is the leading provider of services for people with intellectual disabilities and their families across County Clare. Offering a comprehensive range of day, residential, respite, and training services, the organisation is dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives within their communities. As the largest provider of such services in Ireland, Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to those who need it most.

Sláinte an Chláir‘s Kilnamona based cancer support center is a voluntary organisation dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families impacted by cancer. They offer a wide range of free services, including counseling, therapy, support groups, and educational resources, designed to help their clients navigate the physical, emotional and practical challenges of living with cancer.

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is the national leader in providing essential support to individuals who are vision impaired and have families with children who have autism. Their mission is to empower their clients to achieve great independence and mobility through innovative programs and services. In Clare, their team is currently working with two dedicated puppy raisers, two brood holders, one family with an Assistance Dog, and two Guide Dog owners, providing them with the necessary training, resources, and support they need to thrive.

2023 Charity Community Fun Day!

Last year, the Charity Community Fun Day was a huge success. Each of our chosen charities raised much needed funds for their operations and there was a great atmosphere at The Cliffs of Moher Experience.
