The best of Clare’s artisan food and crafts will enjoy a unique shop window at the inaugural Cliffs of Moher and Clare Retail Expo.

Clare food and artisan suppliers will come together with consumers and retail buyers for the event which takes place over two days on February 19th and 20th.

The Expo opens at Cliffs of Moher Experience on Sunday, February 19th with a business-to-consumer event from 10am to 4pm during which local Clare artists, producers and craftspeople will exhibit their products at Ireland’s most visited natural attraction.

The Falls Hotel in Ennistymon is the venue for The Burren Extravaganza, which includes a North Clare food producers’ showcase and a three-course dinner (ticketed), hosted in partnership with the Burren Ecotourism Network, on Sunday evening from 5pm.

 

On Monday February 20th from 10am to 1pm, Cliffs of Moher Experience will host a business-to-business retail buyers’ event at which Clare artists, producers and craftspeople will present their products and network with national and regional buyers.

This 2-day event is supported by the Clare Local Enterprise Office, Clare County Council and the Burren & Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, the two-day event is the biggest showcase of its kind to be held in County Clare in recent years.

Anchor Crafts is located in Kilrush and owner Pauline Dunleavy prides herself in supplying her customers with unusual and unique Irish stock. She has successfully done so for almost 23yrs.  Her paintings are informed by the ever changing seasons and this is reflected both in her landscapes and seascapes.  She draws inspiration from time spent outdoors and her unique ability to identify beauty in the ordinary. Having had along standing interest in art and creativity she exhibits her paintings in her Gallery and Craft Shop at Anchor Crafts. She has developed a vibrant, distinctive style which has been enhanced by her attendance at art courses at various locations in Ireland, France, Italy and Croatia. Pauline always welcomes Commissions.

A brother sister team brewing beer the way nature intended, The Western Herd brewery stands on a picturesque hilltop farm in a converted shed built over 80 years ago by their great-grandfather in Kilmaley in Clare.

They screen print out own original designs by hand on certified ethical, and environmentally responsible clothing.  Irishshirts.ie is located at the Cliffs of Moher Experience outside the visitor centre and is the first store on the Craftworkers st. on the right-hand side as you approach the visitor centre.
