Wild Atlantic Way Love at the Cliffs of Moher

February 27th 2015,

The 14th February 2015, St. Valentine’s Day was a very romantic day indeed at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience.

Michał Niezgoda flew especially from the USA into Shannon Airport, gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way, and straight to the Cliffs of Moher to share a very special moment in his life with his soul mate Anna, also from the USA. Little did slightly jet lagged Anna know that this surprise trip to Ireland would be one she would remember for the rest of her life. At approximately 2.30pm, Michal produced a gorgeous ring and proposed to Anna in picture-perfect conditions near O’Brien’s Tower. The sun was shining brightly, the sky was azure blue, curious Fulmars were soaring overhead in the breeze and the waves were gently folding in our famous giant sea stack, Branán Mór, as Anna said those magical words ‘ I do’.

The happy couple literally walked on air back to our eco-friendly visitor centre to announce the great news to our delighted staff. There, our Operations Manager, Phoebe Larkin, was at hand to congratulate them and award them their special prize as well as a commemorative certificate.

We would like to wish Michal and Anna every best wish for their wedding day and a lifetime of happiness together. We have no doubt that the Cliffs of Moher just might be their special place for years to come.

We would like to express our thanks to the generous sponsors of our prizes; Doolin2 Aran Ferries in Doolin Co. Clare and the Wild Honey Inn, Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare.
