Heritage Week 19th – 27th August

Heritage Week 2017 runs from 19th – 27th August. The theme this year is “exploring nature as part of our cultural heritage – people and nature”. To celebrate we will be holding free guided tours each day on a first come first served basis. Our experienced rangers will discuss how nature is an indelible and dynamic part of our cultural heritage.

Tours will start outside the visitor centre and will take place at the following times:

19th August @ 15.15;  20th August@ 10.15;  21 August @ 15.10;  22nd August @ 15.15;

23rd August @ 15.15; 24th August @ 15.15; 25th August @ 10.15; 26th August @ 10.15;  27th August @ 10.15

We will be hosting an exhibition in the visitor centre by renowned local photographer and musician Christy McNamara. Christy’s work is well known and loved internationally and encompasses the theme perfectly. We hope you can join us to celebrate our wonderful cultural heritage.
